The mortal Ye Chen has students and disciples all over the world.

Immortal Venerables from the heavens become his disciples, an Underworld Empress stays by his side, and earthly emperors bow when they see him.

He has lived for a hundred thousand years, playing chess against Heaven itself.

When Ye Chen’s final disciple, Cheng Qingyun, dies after failing to survive his tribulation, Ye Chen sets out to open Heaven’s Gate. He returns to the Qingyun Sect and embarks on the path to immortality once more.
