Wise Eunuch, Plotting Rebellion Online

Wei Xi died of illness and, in the Hall of the King of Hell, collided headlong with a spirit who had taken its own life and fled into the cycle of reincarnation.

The King of Hell: She’s beautiful, rich, and powerful, second only to one and above all others. You’re going to live five extra years in her place. What a bargain!

Only when she was actually sent to the Great Abyss Dynasty did she discover that all of the above was just the King of Hell’s clumsy attempt to cover his tracks.

Beautiful = a fairly presentable face + a skeletal, androgynous frame

Rich = a house with bare walls + a few trinkets bestowed by the emperor when he was in a good mood

The Outcast = a eunuch who works himself to the bone serving the new emperor

Live five extra years = use those years to meddle in court affairs until she is exposed and executed by a thousand cuts

Fortunately, Wei Xi had already died once, and by now she saw things with perfect clarity.

She made the most of her own initiative, stirring up trouble without harming anyone and paving a smooth road to power for her master. All that remained was the final push.

Then she was abruptly told that she had been plotting a rebellion all by herself, while the person she had been helping was still offline!

Wei Xi simply couldn’t stand for this.
