Blood Ring

The world is divided among the Three Teachings and the Nine Provinces, which are also known as the Nine Schools. The jianghu is steeped in vulgarity and bloodshed, the mortal world churns with turmoil, officials scheme against one another, merchants vie for advantage, and lovers are bound by deep affections.

A boy born with a blood ring on his chest was kidnapped and meant to serve as bait for a hunt. He was also destined to be buried alongside the hunter when the man died. But one night, the boy took up a dagger and slaughtered an entire village of human traffickers. He met a scruffy, brawny man and became the man’s disciple for a bargain. He got to know a crowd of people, picked up all sorts of disreputable jianghu habits, became fluent in underworld slang, and turned into a menace to the jianghu.
