Don't Cry

The story begins with Yun Zhan, the top student in Class One, Senior Three, delivering his acceptance speech at the awards ceremony. He concluded, “The young have no utopia. With their hearts set on distant horizons, their future is bright.” No sooner had he finished than a loud bang rang out. Everyone turned to look at the back of the room. A girl with a neat ponytail, a round face, dark eyes, flushed cheeks, snow-white skin, and lovely features was awkwardly picking up a milk carton from the floor. She tugged at her friend and hurried out. From the stage, Yun Zhan caught only a glimpse of a tall, flustered figure from behind. Only later did Ran Ning realize that a single glimpse of someone’s back could make an entire youth unforgettable... What followed was a series of suspenseful crime-solving stories. There is no angst in the whole novel.
