This Cultivation World Is Far Too Normal

We are but drifting specks between Heaven and Earth, born estranged from the Dao. The Five Grains are impure, and we believe only in matter and reason, yet we harbor the ambition to take in Heaven and Earth. We live to hear the Great Dao in the morning, to transcend the mundane and rise above the ordinary. Turning stone into gold is merely one reward of drawing near to the Dao. The Dao has no hierarchy, and the paths to seeking it differ across the myriad worlds, constantly shedding the old and bringing forth the new. The Dao follows nature; the illusory can be refined into the real. But this particular illusion... Xuan Yuan looked at the books on his desk. Right in front of him lay a volume titled Yin-Yang Thunder Scripture. Open it up, and it was actually a book called On Positive and Negative Electrons.

The author bio is useless. This is a wild-imagination novel, drawing on the author's ten years of reading experience, the things that bugged him in various books, and his understanding of all kinds of worldviews. It has something of an ensemble-cast feel.
