The wisteria’s language of flowers is: born for love, willing to die for it.
The oath flower’s language, however, is: love that never fades, a promise to meet again in three lifetimes.
In our first life, I saved you, and you jokingly said you would repay me by marrying me. In the end, we truly became husband and wife!
In our second life, I forgot you. You followed me at any cost, but we endured one hardship after another and were separated again!
In our third life, we loved each other but could not stay together. The place where my one remaining wisp of soul could dwell was burned to ashes.
When we became husband and wife, we made a promise beneath the oath tree: we would never forget each other in any of our three lives.
She said, “The happiest thing in this life wasn’t the moment I met you. It was that, after promising to meet again in three lifetimes, we could still sit here together and gaze at the romantic Milky Way.”
He said, “From the moment I met you, I gave you my whole heart. Being able to spend my life by your side is the greatest happiness I could ever ask for.”
And then it all began again, just as before: a promise to meet in three lifetimes!
