Her name is Hu Qingyao, and she is a fox demon. For a fox demon like her, merit is every bit as rare as cultivation itself. She needs a great deal of merit to become a fox immortal! But Hu Qingyao is already 1,126 years old. Time has dragged on so long that she feels merit is beyond reach and becoming an immortal is hopeless! Worse still, she has traveled far and wide without meeting another demon. She is as lonely as duckweed adrift on the sea. Even her ability to cultivate seems to have been with her from birth, like an inheritance passed down through her bloodline.
So where did she come from, and where is she going? Those are questions Hu Qingyao has always wanted answered.
Then one day, she transmigrates and meets someone whose merit shines so brightly it nearly blinds her...
If she hesitated even for a second, it would be disrespectful to merit!
