Synopsis

Kodansha: The History of China (ten volumes in total) is a series of works by Japanese historians and is a major masterpiece on Chinese history in recent years. I think this set of books is really great! It is not as boring as ordinary history books. It contains rich content, and each volume is written by a different Japanese historian, with very novel views. I especially like the descriptions of historical figures in the book. They are very vivid and make me feel as if I have traveled back in time. For example, in the volume "From Myth to History", the author quoted the sentence "Yu controlled floods and passed through the house three times without entering", which made me admire Dayu's persistence and dedication.
