The Twenty-Two Emperors of the Han Dynasty, Explained

The Han dynasty, founded by Liu Bang, was the first feudal dynasty in Chinese history established after a peasant uprising overthrew the previous regime. It was also the second unified empire in Chinese history, following the Qin dynasty.

The Liu dynasty created a splendid civilization and laid the foundations of the Chinese nation. Alongside the Roman Empire and India's Maurya Empire, it stood as one of the "Three Great Powers" of the classical world.
