The Red Army fears no hardship on its long march; thousands of rivers and mountains are nothing to them. The Five Ridges wind like fine waves, the Wumeng Mountains roll like tiny mud balls. The Jinsha River beats against warm cloud-cliffs; the iron chains across the Dadu River bridge are cold. Better still, a thousand miles of snow on Min Mountain: once the whole army has crossed, every face will beam with joy.
In the mid-1930s, Chiang Kai-shek launched frenzied campaigns to encircle and suppress our revolutionary base areas. Under the influence of Wang Ming’s “Leftist” line, base after base was lost, and the Red Army units began relocating one after another. The Central Red Army was also forced to leave Ruijin and embark on the Long March. Bo Gu and Li De stubbornly clung to their mistaken line, causing the Red Army to suffer heavy losses at the Xiang River: its numbers plunged from more than eighty thousand to just over thirty thousand. After Zhang Wentian, Wang Jiaxiang, and others challenged the leadership, the Central Committee held the Zunyi Conference, corrected its leadership, and turned the tide of the crisis. The army reached western Sichuan and joined forces with the Fourth Front Army. By then, the Twenty-Fifth Army, led by Xu Haidong and others, had already reached northern Shaanxi and joined forces with the Northwest Red Army under Liu Zhidan and Luo Xun, preserving the last remaining base area. The Second and Sixth Army Corps, led by He Long, Ren Bishi, Xiao Ke, Wang Zhen, and others, actively supported the First and Fourth Front Armies as they advanced north. After Zhang Guotao split the forces, the Fourth Front Army marched south, while the First and Third Army Corps headed north and reached northern Shaanxi, where they joined the Fifteenth Army Group. The Central Red Army continued to grow stronger as it marched north, while the Fourth Front Army met setbacks at every turn in the south. The Second and Sixth Army Corps formed the Second Front Army and marched north alongside the Fourth Front Army. The three Front Armies met at Huining, Gansu.
Understand history, respect history, pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs, the people's heroes will be immortal
It is said to be a romance, but it is actually based on historical facts, and is not a simple accumulation of historical materials. It is expressed in an innovative way, which greatly enhances the readability. The characters are real and perceptible. It is a masterpiece worth recommending. The author made an amazing attempt!
One difficulty after another, ninety-nine and eighty-one! This book has detailed historical knowledge and rich characters. It tells the overall history of the Red Army's actions during the Long March. It is very true and comprehensive! The history of Zhang Guotao's split is even more profound. It's all mentioned briefly in the textbook, but I learned about it in detail here. I'll watch Red Ribbon again and comment again.
I've read a little bit of Red Ribbon, so I'm here to comment. This book is closer to historical reality, like documentary literature, and is a panoramic view of the Red Army's Long March. Red Ribbon pays more attention to detailed description and is more like popular literature, but it changed the names of some historical figures. I personally don't like it. This is a historical novel, so it is better to maintain rigor. For example, the leader of the Zunyi Group was Zhu Shuiqiu, but he was changed to Han Dongting.
The mighty Red Army, the tiger leaps over the dragon!
This book uses vivid words and rich plots to show the difficulties and obstacles during the Long March and the perseverance of the Red Army. I loved every character in the book, they all displayed selfless dedication and strong faith. Especially the revolutionary leaders, I deeply admire their wisdom and courage. This book gave me a deeper understanding of the Long March and made me appreciate my current life more. Recommended to all friends who are interested in history and revolution!
Close to historical facts, close to life, and a sincere record of flesh-and-blood friendship!
It describes the story of the Long March in the most detailed and easy-to-understand terms, and can be enjoyed by both refined and popular people. A fascinating book.
A very nice book.
Understand the history and never forget the original intention
