The upper corpse-worm is named Penghou. It dwells in a person's head, making them foolish and dull-witted, without wisdom. The middle corpse-worm is named Pengzhi. It dwells in a person's chest, filling them with vexation and delusions and making it impossible for them to find inner peace. The lower corpse-worm is named Pengjiao. It dwells in a person's abdomen, making them crave sex and food.
In this world, practitioners who sever the Three Corpses are everywhere.
To sever the Three Corpses, one must first nurture them.
There is only one way to nurture a corpse: use corpses to nurture corpses.
Practitioners who nurture the upper corpse make ordinary people foolish and dull-witted.
Practitioners who nurture the middle corpse fill ordinary people with desire.
Practitioners who nurture the lower corpse make people hungry, thirsty, or obsessed with sensual pleasures.
And so, in this world, the mad can live, slaves to desire can live, cannibals can live, blood addicts can live, and the lecherous can live. Only ordinary people cannot.
What people call humanity is nothing more than beasts walking on two legs.
