Cicadas Sing in High Summer

[Campus romance + sweet, doting love and healing + sensitive, insecure heroine vs. angelic healer]

A first-year student in the literature department at A University has a beautiful junior. On her first day of registration, she was named the department’s belle. Word has it that the belle likes older sisters with ample bosoms, slender waists, and long legs.

The computer science department at A University has a handsome senior. The rumor is that he likes older brothers with eight-pack abs.

Then, out of nowhere, the handsome senior who likes older brothers with eight-pack abs pulled the department belle, who likes older sisters with ample bosoms, slender waists, and long legs, into his arms.

“Xi-jie, want to date?”

“The kind that could cost you your life?”

“Sure.”

And later, he really did go to his death with her.

Love tastes like lemons. It can be so sour it reaches your heart before you even take a bite; or taste tart and a little bitter once you do; or be sweet forever, like a mouthful of honey that leaves a lingering aftertaste.
