Why Is My Childhood Friend So Two-Faced?

In the second semester of her sophomore year of high school, Song Qing transferred back to S City when her parents were reassigned for work. She looked forward to seeing her frail, pitiful childhood friend, even though he acted arrogant, cool, and domineering. Song Qing knew he was really just a poor little thing.

Chen Yao’an had known since childhood that Song Qing was in poor health, so he had to take good care of her. Later, when Song Qing transferred away, Chen Yao’an worried himself sick, sending her eight hundred WeChat messages a day for fear someone would bully her. Only when Song Qing said she was coming back did Chen Yao’an realize he’d somehow built himself a good-boy, straight-A-student image. He panicked a little.

A story about two scrappy fighters pretending to be well-behaved, model students to protect their reputations.
