Childhood Sweethearts in the Pear Blossom Season

Who in Luocheng doesn’t know that the president of the Lu Group has had no women by his side for years? People once thought he must have some kind of hidden ailment, but only he knew why he kept to himself: his heart had always belonged to someone, his childhood sweetheart.

After years of searching for her without success, he was forced to sign a marriage agreement with Hao Jingyi, a woman he had never met.

At their first meeting, he took an instant dislike to her. “You think you deserve the name Jingyi?”

After the divorce, he dogged Hao Jingyi’s every step, begging her to get back together with him. But she wasn’t moved at all. Instead, she casually pointed to the pear tree nearby and set him a challenge: “All right. If this pear tree blooms next year, I’ll say yes.”

His face darkened on the spot. The tree was already dead. How could it possibly bloom? Wasn’t she just making things difficult for him...?
