Overall it's okay, but it's not like a Genshin Impact fanfic. The characters and plot have been greatly changed, and even some basic common sense has been changed (for example: praying to the Seven Heavenly Gods has a chance of gaining elemental power, and the setting of the Eye of God has been downplayed). In short, the world view and characters have been changed. It's okay to treat it as a novel about another world. The characters are referenced and it's a bonus. But I read this book with the intention of reading a Genshin Impact fanfic, so it's always a bit uncomfortable to see the worldview changed, so it's four stars.
