Lin Chen, the 2019 top scorer in the national college entrance exam's science track, was at the height of his success when his first love, Bai Jie, and his sworn brother, Tang Shan, joined forces to frame him. Three years in prison, all thanks to the despicable Third Young Master of the Tang family.
Three years later, Lin Chen applied for a job as a lowly security guard at the Linlang Group. On his very first day, he used his secret skills to save the company's second-in-command, who was trapped in the underground parking garage.
The executive was delighted. When she learned Lin Chen had nowhere to live, she thoughtfully found him an inexpensive apartment. But the beautiful landlady living in the same building turned out to be the company's CEO, Xu Linlang.
By chance, Lin Chen discovered that his beautiful landlady was the progenitor of the vampire race. He formed a bond with Xu Linlang and, with her help, began investigating the secrets of his own bloodline. He learned immortal arts, refined immortal pills, slew demons, fought villains, upheld righteousness, and wooed his landlady.
The cherry-blossom swordswoman trembled on the ground. “Bakayaro! You! Just who are you?”
“Me? I am the great hero Lin Chen, with a name that never changes and a surname that never shifts. I'm only a humble little security guard at the Linlang Group, that's all.”
