After going without updates for ages, I decided to write one myself. If you don't like it, don't force yourself to read. This is just my personal preference; there is no canon pairing, so feel free to ship whoever you like.

After being ambushed by the divine temple, Huaizhong was sealed inside a golden cauldron, with no awareness of the passage of time. After breaking free, he takes on a lackey and restores his strength by completing missions.

His wandering days are over. The divine temple has forced him into a job. Jieling, the temple's newest hire, is now Huaizhong's lackey and underling.

Jieling: I used to be carefree and wild, but then I was forced to take a job.

Warnings: The author is not quite right in the head, and the book has some continuity bugs.
(The first mission world goes by quickly. After revisions, the word count is a little higher.)
Anything inside [] is communication between the protagonist and Jieling, like talking in their heads, so it doesn't need to be spoken aloud.
It's a pretty good book, but I don't know why the author doesn't update it (─‿─)
