The Bamboo Cleaver

I have a set of bamboo-splitting knives, handed down through my family.

My grandfather left them to me before he died.

As he passed, he said he hoped I would never need them. I hoped so too.

Bamboo weaving is a folk craft in decline, nearly cast aside by society.

I make a living in the city, and never expected to work with bamboo again.

But I never imagined those knives would change my life.

The knives have souls, and the hands that wield them have magic. They will cut down three thousand demons and ghosts.
