Half a Lifetime of Searching

Zhong Hang grew up in an army compound and was inexplicably drawn into a tomb-raiding case. His parents’ deaths seemed to be closely connected to it. Just then, he ran into his childhood friend Mu Xi’er, who had returned from abroad. She seemed to know something, too.

Zhong Hang decided to investigate the true circumstances of his parents’ deaths. As he followed the trail, the case grew more and more complicated. At the same time, he found that people he had once known well had become impossible to read. Even his childhood friend, who had been like a sibling to him, seemed to have secrets of her own. In Zhong Hang’s eyes, everyone had become a mystery…

Before dawn broke, Zhong Hang was caught between two impossible choices: on one side was his only family; on the other, the childhood friend he had promised to wait for so they could watch a sea of flowers together…

When the sweet osmanthus bloomed, he was still lost in the middle of it all…
