The first edition was published in May 2013. This new edition adds 3 interviews and shares 19 albums of old photos. The 100th edition of "Old Photos" edited by Feng Keli was unveiled at the same time - the personal experience of collecting and editing old photos over the years, "the various encounters with photos", and the history of old photos being copied, hidden, destroyed, and altered. "View history" from images, "view photos" again from a historical perspective, feel the warmth of individual lives in photos, and enrich our common collective memory.
There are 112 pictures included, which are spectacular images of "home and country" - there are photos that subvert the existing narratives in history textbooks and "embarrass historical stereotypes"; there are photos that were criticized as "unsuitable for publication" in the Xinhua News Agency's archive album; there are old photos that were originally taken and saved by foreign churches and were later classified as "enemy and puppet archives"; there are "everyday Republic of China" photos that belong to the market and tell the stories of ordinary people.

This book presents the diverse aspects of history through old photos, allowing us to see another side of history. The writing style is simple and sincere, and the interpretation of the photos is profound and delicate. The characters in the book are all vivid, and their experiences and stories are very touching. All in all, this is a good book worth reading.
