A female medical PhD transmigrates into another world, only to marry Xiao Jingchen, the sinister and violent Prince of Wei, who is both blind and lame.
They say all three of the Prince of Wei's previous fiancées died tragically on the eve of their weddings.
Everyone says Zhou Nian won't escape that fate either.
But not only does she survive, the prince even brings her to the palace's New Year's Eve banquet in a grand display, pampering her like his most treasured possession.
Then one day, Zhou Nian discovers her husband's secret...
Zhou Nian is furious. “Blind and lame?”
Xiao Jingchen: “...”
Zhou Nian sneers. “Powerless, with a violent temper?”
Xiao Jingchen: “...”
Seeing Zhou Nian about to explode, Xiao Jingchen puts on a smile and explains, “Princess Consort, it's all a misunderstanding. I...”
“Bang!”
Xiao Jingchen is shut out of the room.
The passing steward laughs at him. “Did the princess consort teach you a lesson again, Your Highness?”
