I am a modern spiritual cultivator who once crippled my own cultivation. I had planned to leave the martial world behind and live in seclusion in an ordinary city. But through a twist of fate, I discovered that the barrier protecting the land of Shenzhou, my homeland, had been broken. At the same time, a damaged Buddhist treasure awakened an ancient bloodline hidden within me and drew me into an age-old mystery. That mystery was one of the causes behind the barrier's destruction. To mend the barrier and protect the ordinary joys of life beneath the sun, my companions and I were willing to shed our blood. Along the way, however, the twists of fate made me miss out on many of the people and things most precious to me.
