When the apocalypse arrives, human lives are as worthless as grass. Yet in the no-man's-land stands a mysterious guesthouse.
Outside, dark clouds loom over the city as zombies roam the streets, blood-red scraps of flesh hanging from their mouths.
Inside the guesthouse, laughter fills the air. Everyone basks in the sun and enjoys the gentle breeze in a little garden, while a pretty swing rocks softly.
Outside, survivors are starved to skin and bones. To stay alive, they have to grit their teeth and swallow tough, dried mutant rat meat.
Inside the guesthouse, fragrant dishes fill the air: sweet-and-sour tomato and egg stir-fry, tender and juicy braised pork, and the mouthwatering Buddha Jumps Over the Wall... A spread of dishes from every corner of the land covers the table.
Outside, even those living in a base can't rest easy at night. Theft, robbery, and murder are rampant. Low, crumbling walls cannot block the night wind, leaving people to huddle in thin sleeping bags and shiver until dawn.
Inside the guesthouse, everything is outfitted to five-star hotel standards, with unlimited water and electricity. Soft, warm beds and thick, insulating down comforters make for a peaceful night's sleep.
The Zombie King leads a horde to surround the city, and the survivors despair.
It's impossible. We can't hold them back. We're all going to die here!
As everyone loses hope, a horde that not even ten top-tier bases, united in full force, could stop is reduced to ashes at a young woman's fingertips.
A beautiful, gentle-looking mysterious woman holds a snow-white ragdoll cat in her arms. Her expression is serene. "It's just one Zombie King. It thinks it can interfere with my business?"
As soon as she finishes speaking, phantoms of the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise, and more than a dozen other mythical beasts appear behind her, radiating power.
Thank you for asking. I'm just an ordinary guesthouse owner.
At first, she really only wanted to take it easy. Who knew that before long, she'd become the strongest person in the apocalypse?
