I Won't Live Three Months

I was Lu Huai’s secretary for seven years. After we slept together,

he tossed me a check. “I’m bored of you.”

I curled my lips in playful teasing. “I have less than three months to live. Couldn’t you wait a little longer?”

He frowned. “Lin Ya, you’re not the sort who doesn’t know when to quit.”

My smile froze. He didn’t know I never joked about things like that.

Later, he panicked, but by then it was too late.
