Synopsis

Piloting a Jaeger in Pacific Rim and tearing through the enemy ranks is a dream shared by so many. When an underwater wormhole appears in real life, humanity gives it another name: the Devil’s Eye. Just like in the movie, monsters emerge from the Devil’s Eye and enter our world.

After humanity uses a nuclear bomb to kill the first monster, it decides to build Jaegers, just like in the film. The mission of defending Earth is still a long way from over. Can humanity hold the line and protect its home as it did in the movie, securing a glimmer of hope for its survival?

Any High-Quality Post-Apocalyptic Stories?

I'm completely out of books to read. So many highly rated ones just don't hold my interest; they all feel the same. I'm looking for something I can binge in one go. Male- or female-oriented fiction is fine. I want a decisive protagonist who doesn't act like a saint or fool around with a harem. Monster-fighting and stockpiling supplies are both fine. Just make sure the plot makes sense.
