A game called Fear of the Past went live. Its tags were horror, mystery, suspense, and the supernatural, and it selected contestants directly from countries around the world to enter the game. The livestream launched at the same time, airing daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. It went offline promptly after 1:00 a.m.

A total of 256 countries around the world were counted, while certain regions were directly assigned to their universally recognized countries.

Fear of the Past strives for "fairness and impartiality," so it grants participants different numbers of opportunities to receive outside assistance, depending on the strength of their countries. Outside assistance includes, but is not limited to, the actions of contestants from other countries. The only things that cannot be sent are crucial information and key clues.
