I'm looking for a story about going back to the 1980s or 1990s. I don't want the protagonist to start out as some worthless loser who's immediately bullied and humiliated. I'd prefer a more low-key farming story, with a protagonist who feels like a normal person. Nowadays, it seems like authors can't write about returning to the past without throwing in some trashy affair.
