Blindsight

On February 13, 2082, 65,536 alien probes surrounded the earth. At first, they were like countless black holes embedded in the atmosphere. Later, they burned out together, triggering simultaneous resonance of all radio signals on the earth and in geosynchronous orbit. Every infrared telescope could only see a snowflake. A brief, bright glimpse from an unknown creature. The Earth detected the source of the signal and sent three teams to the source - a comet in the Kuiper Belt near the orbit of Neptune. Burns-Caulfield conducted surveys. The first two teams were both unmanned detectors. When the second wave of unmanned probes was about to approach, Burns-Caulfield, which had man-made instruments buried in the core of the star, exploded. Two months after Skyfire fell, the third exploration team including the protagonist set out. News of the explosion on the way came, and the spacecraft changed its course on its own, carrying the crew to the base of the great celestial body. The crew members gradually woke up from the hibernation of interstellar travel: a linguist with a quadruple personality; a biologist who replaced the five senses with mechanical implants; a combat commander; a vampire; and a synthesizer - a topological information observer who artificially removed half of his mind, serving as a link to report intelligence to the center. Will they face a fight or a negotiation? Can they decipher the code of alien life and uncover the truth behind the fall of Skyfire?
