The foundational work of analytic geometry. The author believes that the geometry invented by the ancient Greeks relies too much on graphics, constrains people's imagination, and does not explain the reasons for reaching conclusions; algebra is subordinate to rules and formulas and cannot be a science that improves intelligence; and the logic of syllogism cannot produce any new knowledge. The "real mathematics" he created combines the advantages of the three and eliminates their shortcomings.

This book is really interesting! Descartes' idea was so unique. He combined the advantages of geometry, algebra and logic to create "real mathematics." It feels like he is like a month old man, bridging knowledge in different fields and making them perfectly combined. Moreover, this book is a student version, so it is very easy to understand! I think it is also inspiring for girls like me who want to find love. Just like looking for love, we also need to have innovative thinking and not stick to traditional models in order to find the person who is most suitable for us.
