With the real estate market in decline, many people in the industry have changed careers. Zhou Yishi is one of the few still working in the field, but he’s barely getting by.
Behind every home is a family’s story. He once believed in selling the homes in his hands to people all over the world, and working as a real estate agent earned him more in a few years than he could have made otherwise.
But as the market shrinks, the industry has become a struggle. On many nights, he worries because he can’t find clients. As he gets older, society offers him fewer and fewer opportunities. At home, the family has gone from urging him to get married to leaving him alone. So many things have changed.
But when morning comes, he smiles at everyone, puts his worries aside, and gives his full attention to every client and every homeowner.
Breaking out of this predicament isn’t up to him, but he can keep his spirits and his outlook in check.
