[No transmigration. The hero and heroine are both people of the past, in an imagined setting. A slow-paced story focused on life in the women’s quarters.]
(This is not a wish-fulfillment novel. It’s a slow burn, and my writing is still at an early stage, so please bear with me. I’m terrible at writing blurbs and coming up with names.)
After her family is destroyed overnight, Fu Rui changes her name and surname and comes to serve the Madam as her personal maid. She resolves to save money so she can live alone at a country estate outside the city in her old age.
By a twist of fate, Liu Zheng is adopted by a master, given a name, and taught swordsmanship. He is later hired as the personal guard of the master of the Sun household.
After a chance encounter in the garden, Liu Zheng takes an interest in her, and the two become entangled.
Their feelings slowly grow, but fate has a cruel sense of humor.
Liu Zheng is gravely injured and rescued by a woman, but he cannot remember who she was. Just as he sets out to find her and repay his debt, Fu Rui leaves him behind, dealing him a painful blow.
The eldest young master returns after completing his studies, and the first thing he says to the Madam is that he wants to marry Fu Rui. Chaos erupts...
When they reach the Lu residence, the past is gradually revealed. Whose kindness is owed, and whose debt must be repaid?
Stone-faced Liu Zheng: “I went through so much just to marry you.”
Like it very much!!! It's really, really beautiful and fits my taste!!!
