War, famine, and plague... In that age of turmoil and displacement, rumors always spread wildly alongside fear and uncertainty.
Born from hearsay, monsters lurk in the shadows. In the bustling City of Mist stands a certain bookshop. Its ageless proprietor tends tens of thousands of precious books, and supposedly each one contains a strange monster found only in myths and nursery rhymes.
Glenn thought he would spend the rest of his life in the mountains after retiring, but a bizarre transfer order turned his life upside down...
Step into the bookshop and you’ll find its owner reclining at ease in an armchair, wearing an inscrutable, knowing expression.
“Sisyphus, punished by the gods, pushes a boulder to the mountaintop day after day, only for it to roll back down again. In time, he became a laughingstock to all. Don’t you think that makes a perfect match for this bookshop?”
The voice was like an alluring melody beckoning him toward hell. Glenn couldn’t help wondering:
“If the thousands of strange beings enshrined in this bookshop are all fantasies, why are you still lingering here?”
