Walking Beneath the Moon

The protagonist, Ye Fei, was an adopted child. As far back as he can remember, he and his grandfather depended on each other. The family had two deeply unfilial uncles who were constantly at odds with the old man. They never once asked after the two of them, leaving them to struggle to make ends meet and live in dire poverty.

In the winter when he was thirteen, his grandfather caught a cold and became bedridden. With the old man’s life hanging by a thread, Ye Fei had no choice but to seek help from his two uncles…

But fate had other plans. His grandfather ultimately failed to pull through. On his deathbed, he handed Ye Fei a brocade box and told him to keep it safe.

When Ye Fei opened the box, he learned that his mother was alive. Determined to reunite with his parents and never again suffer the scorn of others, he resolutely set out on the path of immortal cultivation.
