Seventy Years in the Imperial Palace

Feng Zhilan was a lovely young woman who entered the palace, the secluded fortress most women in the realm dreamed of joining, with her kindness and goodness, aided by her aunt, the Empress Dowager. She entered the palace through the main gate. To wear the crown, one must bear its weight! For the honor of her family, she could not be deposed. She also wanted to put her mother’s mind at ease. She gave everything she had to survive, escaping one crisis after another. Gradually, she had sons and daughters, but her beauty faded and the emperor’s affection grew scarce. Misfortune piled upon misfortune: her powerful aunt passed away, her children grew up, and a bloody struggle for the throne loomed...
