An optimistic but insecure bottom x a confident but pessimistic top. Two strong leads. Urban romance.
This story is best suited to readers who like a little substance. It’s grounded in reality, with no domineering CEO trope and no wish-fulfillment plot. The protagonists encourage and support each other rather than saving each other. Their reunion after years apart is not a case of rekindling an old flame.
On January 4, 2013, Song Yang and Han Fei meet in court at Qiaobei Court, representing the plaintiff and defendant, respectively.
Three months later, Song Yang runs into Han Fei again at Zhounan Court, where they have both come to file a case. They grow closer from there. They attend bar association training together, pass their professional interviews together, and receive their lawyer’s licenses together. Their feelings deepen as they keep each other company.
The lucky pair have the blessings of everyone around them. They think they can settle into a peaceful life, but after an air disaster, Han Fei has to abandon his dream and return home to prop up the failing family company. They part without any misunderstanding, only to reunite because of the semiconductor war. Though they have taken different paths, they ultimately become the people each had most wanted to be.
I particularly like this thin and long flow of love lines.
