The Movie Emperor’s Wife Is a Little Too Fascinating

[Face-slapping fun + dating-show livestream + absurd comedy + fake and real heiresses + one-on-one sweet romance] A delirious, bottom-tier entertainment celebrity who goes wild on live TV vs. a sharp-tongued, outrageously arrogant, fiercely protective three-time Best Actor After fake heiress Meng Yunzhen is thrown out of her wealthy family, she lets loose. On a dating show featuring her ex-boyfriend and the real heiress, Meng Yunzhen declares: “Stop wasting energy on inner turmoil. If there’s a problem, just go crazy.” And so her ex and the real heiress not only break up, they both have their reputations in shreds. When she joins the dating show again, her ex-boyfriend drops to his knees and begs for forgiveness, clinging to her leg and calling her Dad. Meng Yunzhen says: “If you’re going to see a Buddha, see him all the way. If you’re going to be a dad, see it through.” Her ex not only fails to clear his name, he also earns himself a pair of silver bracelets and a steady job behind bars. On her third appearance on the dating show, an award-winning actress follows the Best Actor onto the show, and their love makes headlines. Meng Yunzhen says: “I tucked you in my pocket, and you kicked me into a ditch.” The Best Actor panics. And so the actress not only cuts ties with him, she becomes the number-one fan of the CP pairing Meng Yunzhen and Chu Lan. A fourth time… There won’t be a fourth time. The dating-show producers watch the shameless couple show off their love for three whole seasons: “I might as well scrap this dating show script and wash my hands of it to become your concubine!”
