Mr. Qi Rushan wrote this book after personally inspecting the rural farming conditions in North China. This article introduces the agricultural labor situation in North China during the Republic of China. There are many plains in North China, with harvests occurring once a year and manual farming being the main focus. Many of the farming techniques of that time are still used today: plowing, harrowing, covering, planting, transporting, and clearing fields.

This book is very good! It allowed me to understand the agricultural activities in North China during the Republic of China. Many farming techniques are still in use today. The book says, "If you want to study agriculture, you must study work." I particularly agree with this sentence. The author's personal investigation makes the content very real, and it feels like watching a documentary about farming. I recommend you read it.
I majored in animal husbandry and engaged in breeding, and I learned deeply about the methods in this book.
