Synopsis

It is limited to the six schools of Yin and Yang, Confucianism, Mohism, Ming Dynasty, Dharma and Taoism discussed by Sima Tan. The order of each school discussed in "Chen Zhu: An Introduction to the Scholars" is based on the "Hanshu Yiwenzhi", and the books of each school are recorded in "Hanzhi". "Chen Zhu: An Introduction to the Scholars" is divided into a series for each school, and the series is divided into chapters, and the chapters are divided into sections. The first chapter of each part is the general introduction, followed by one chapter for each sub-section. Scholars cannot describe it all, only the important points. The summary of each chapter in "Chen Zhu: An Introduction to the Scholars" is divided into five sections: origin, naming, schools, comments, and number of schools. Each chapter is divided into biography, book, theory and three sections. "Chen Zhu: An Introduction to the Scholars" discusses the theories of the various scholars, focusing most on each person's basic concepts and political education.

This book is very rich in content. The author Chen Zhu introduces each school and its main ideas in detail in the order of "Hanshu Yiwenzhi". I especially liked his interpretation of Confucianism, which gave me a deeper understanding of the thoughts of Confucius and Duke Zhou. However, I didn't like some of the overly obscure statements in the book. Overall, this is a great book worth reading!
