Lu Chaowu gave a traveling Daoist priest three bean cakes and received a copy of The Yin-Yang Talismans in return. Using the book to spot and dispel baleful energy, he made a name for himself. Later, when the Dragon Tail River dried up and the Fish King Temple emerged, Lu Chaowu found half of a River Kui Xi Treasure there. This set off a series of clashes among martial world factions, all driven by baleful energy, as the various powers schemed against one another. In the end, Lu Chaowu used the knowledge he had gained from the feng shui wall and The Yin-Yang Talismans to break the baleful force and identify the dragon's lair. Then he and his master's wife went on to live happily together.
