Give Him a Kiss

Which is better, a childhood sweetheart or a love at first sight? Jiang Zhi never had to choose. With Cen Yang around, she never met anyone who swept her off her feet.

She and Cen Yang had bickered for eighteen years, until their different ambitions sent one of them south and the other north when they started college.

At the beginning of her sophomore year, while helping welcome the new students, Jiang Zhi saw Cen Yang standing in front of her, even though he'd been on her blocklist for over half a year.

He had transformed overnight into her junior.

Only then did she learn that Cen Yang had kept it from everyone, dropped out, taken the entrance exams again, and enrolled at her university, Jiang University.

Jiang Zhi: Why are there always tears in her eyes? Because he loves her so deeply.

Jiang Zhi had no idea when that “love” had begun to grow and turn into something else.

All she knew was that, with her leading him on step by step, he was falling deeper and deeper.

Later, Jiang Zhi looked at Cen Yang and asked him, “Cen, would you like to kiss me? The legal kind.”

Only then did she realize that Cen Yang had kept his love hidden for a very, very long time.

Jiang Zhi didn't think of herself as sentimental. She was scatterbrained and people often said she was allergic to romance.

Then she came across one of Cen Yang's notebooks. It was filled with her name and the English words, “We will be together for all times.”

Cen Yang said, “Jiang Xiaozhi, we'll add an s to our time, and make it last forever.”

Love rises in the east and sets in the west. No one dislikes romance; it just depends on who it's with.

Who says a childhood sweetheart can't beat someone who comes along later? Ask her a hundred times and she'll still shout Cen Yang's name without hesitation.

~Cen Yang, give me a kiss, and then let's grow old together.
