On a whim, Yang Sensen starts cleaning her room, only to find a purple notebook wedged beside her bed. It has a sticker of a chubby rabbit on it. She flips to a random page and nearly gets goosebumps from how sappy it is. She's certain the handwriting isn't hers.
“Whose notebook is this?”
Curious, she turns to the first page. She sees just seven words and blushes furiously, then quickly opens a drawer and tosses it inside.
“Hey, did you hear? Dr. Zhao has a girlfriend!”
“What? So I have no chance with my imaginary boyfriend?!”
The first person bursts out laughing. “Even if he were single, you'd still have no chance.”
The colleague has to admit that's true, then turns to gossip about who Dr. Zhao's girlfriend is.
“I heard she's the daughter of one of the hospital's shareholders!”
But the next day, the two of them are left dumbfounded. Why is Dr. Zhao walking into the security office after work with a bouquet of roses?
Wait, isn't that Dr. Zhao sitting behind the deputy head of security on his little electric scooter? And those in the basket up front are definitely roses, right?!
Seeing the woman watching the movie intently, Zhao Kuo makes an excuse to go get something.
When he returns to the room to fetch the gift he prepared earlier, he finds her fast asleep, lying across the sofa. He smiles helplessly, drapes a small blanket over her, then sits beside her with an arm around her. Zhao Kuo gently kisses the sleeping beauty on the forehead. Unlike in fairy tales, she doesn't wake up, but instead murmurs in her sleep.
Just then, the leading man on the screen speaks in a heartfelt voice.
“Will you marry me?”
Snowflakes are still falling outside the window, while the screen inside shows spring flowers in full bloom. The couple embrace beneath the trees. They still have a long, long time together ahead of them...
