The author's attitude is gentle, simple and extremely candid. Personal tasks have advantages and disadvantages. The shortcomings are that some of the text seems too chicken soup for the soul. For younger people, it is good to broaden their horizons, think independently, and enlighten their thoughts. For people with life experience, it is a bit empty talk. But books still have the power of thinking. Among them, the principle of self-help, the pain of life, and the truth of loneliness are all about following one's heart and everyone's choice. In the end, it's all your own responsibility.
I really like this author's writing style, which is delicate yet powerful, gentle yet somewhat unruly. Moreover, many of the viewpoints mentioned in the book, including its views on many current social hot topics, made me feel very reasonable. The analysis was objective and rational, and the research was conducted without too much subjectivity. This is also the attitude a scholar should have. All in all, I think this is a book that is worth reading, so I sincerely recommend it to everyone, and I hope everyone can benefit from the book!
I can't say how much this book inspired me to think, but at least I was happy to read it. The good life I understand. There should be bread, circus. Roses and stars. Bread is the basic food and clothing of life. Circus is a serious entertainment for the spirit after satisfying the needs of food and clothing. Roses represent beautiful feelings, and stars are even more devastating. I heard different voices in this book. Maybe this voice is not the voice of the masses. The world needs diversity and different voices. Very subtle feeling
The author uses compassion and roses as symbols to explore the compassion, complexity and power of love in human nature. It reads very much like a philosophy book. The author's language is rather sophisticated, and many of the contents require careful thinking and repeated reflection to understand the truth. This book is for readers interested in philosophy, emotion, and human relationships. By reading this book, readers can feel the power of compassion and beauty, and think deeply about the complexity of human nature and the meaning of love.
I read it intermittently (it spanned a long period of time). When I first saw the title, I thought it was a fairy tale (it turned out not to be the case at all [cover face][cover face][cover face]), but I really felt that what was said in it was quite meaningful, and I also had a lot of questions and thoughts.
This book is like a friend sharing his thoughts and insights with you. Mr. Xiong Peiyun discussed the possibility of a better life and society, which was deeply inspiring. He criticized some fashionable concepts and emphasized the passion for beauty and sympathy for the individual situation. As the book says, "It's better to sing than to be sad." Even in the face of difficulties, we should face them positively and look for the beauty in life. This is a book that allows people to find strength in loneliness.
Xiong Peiyun's "Compassion and Roses" is a literary work full of philosophy and thought-provoking. The plot of the novel is full of ups and downs, suspense and surprises. In every plot, we can deeply understand the complexity of human nature and the struggle between good and evil. Through the delicate description, Xiong Peiyun, as an ordinary farmer, faces all kinds of injustice, hardship and misfortune in life. But his heart was always full of compassion and tolerance. Through this character, the author tells us that kindness and compassion are always the forces that overcome difficulties.
I think deeply, but some ideas or opinions are still quite controversial. Let's think about the problem more broadly.
Many of the discussions are very interesting, and the thinking has depth and dimension.
Reading this book was like talking with a friend all night, and it was very fruitful.
This is the kind of book that people like me, who are wandering around the world and thinking about life, love to read when they are in trouble. It exactly corresponds to the sentence in the article-human beings are animals of meaning. The author discusses and analyzes and summarizes some social phenomena from various aspects. Some of the views resonate with me, while others I am unsure of and do not know the full picture, so I will not comment. I admire a scholar who keeps thinking and earnestly seeks evidence. Although I don't know much about the debates about historical celebrities and social situations in his articles, I still feel that I have learned a lot.
It's a bit inspiring, but more about Chicken Soup for the Soul. It's suitable for reading in your leisure time, and it's not very long.
