Liu Yuancheng, the only daughter of the Minister of Rites, once lived a life free of worry. Then her father suddenly died, she was framed and robbed of her chastity, and she was forced to break off her engagement to Kong Yuli, a descendant of Confucius. Her life became a tragedy, ending with her taking her own life with a sword.
When Liu Yuancheng opens her eyes again, she is back at the brothel where her nightmare began. She does everything she can to change her fate, only to fall into another trap, lose her chastity once more, and become pregnant.
She fights her way out of that hell, hoping only to live out the rest of her life in peace. By a twist of fate, however, she ends up working as a gardener in Kong Yuli’s household.
She thought Kong Yuli would be just as uninterested in women as the rumors claimed. But he cages her in his arms and says softly, “I’m your daughter’s father.”
The author's writing is quite good. I thought it was a relatively light plot after reading the introduction. But after reading it, it turns out that it is set in a time when treacherous officials are in power, people are in dire straits, and the war is turbulent. To be honest, it is quite depressing. If you don't mind this, you can go for it.
A very good book
