Your Majesty! Please Bestow Me on the Young Eunuch

“I’ll leave the matter of my marriage to Your Highness to decide...”

My name is Shaoyao. I’m a junior palace maid who’s spent the past few years coasting along. Now that I’m old enough to marry, I figure I might as well wed whoever comes along, tall or short, fat or thin.

After all, for a lowly palace maid like me to be granted a marriage by imperial decree is already a huge stroke of luck. What more could I ask for? I just want to find someone I like well enough, settle down, support my husband, raise children, and live out my days.

That was until the day the emperor visited Tihua Palace, accompanied by a young eunuch I’d never seen before. I only had to look at him once and exchange a few words with him to think, “Oh no. I’m going to spend the rest of my life with this man.”

“Your Highness, please grant me a marriage to that young eunuch...” Her Highness nearly spat blood when she heard me.

“Stop joking. I’ll find you a fine husband.”

Shaoyao gritted her teeth. If I wanted a husband, I’d have to pursue him myself!

“Little eunuch, want to date me?”

“Miss, don’t tease me...”

“Little eunuch, you shouldn’t turn down a wife who comes knocking!”

“Little eunuch, we’re holding hands!”

The man turned his flushed face away and fell silent.

“Little eunuch, I love you.”

“Little eunuch, are you really not going to give me a chance?”

“Miss, please behave with propriety.”

“Little eunuch... If you say yes, I’ll go ask Her Highness to grant us a marriage.”

The man gazed at Shaoyao with a complicated expression, his voice trembling. “I’m afraid I’ll ruin your reputation.”

Shaoyao glared at him, eyes red, gritting her teeth. “Are you going to marry me or not...?”

This is urgent! Someone, please tell me how to win over an unfeeling little eunuch!
