[Pseudo-Song Dynasty + farming + ordinary townsfolk + court politics]
After transmigrating from the modern world into the body of an ancient peasant girl, Song Jian only wanted to make money and open a restaurant.
But a handsome man can be a woman’s undoing! Her betrothed was so refined and good-looking that Song Jian couldn’t resist him!
Just as the two were falling in love, conscription orders came. Her father left, her mother split up the family, and her betrothed vanished without a trace. Hurt by the ridicule and mockery, Song Jian cried her heart out, then decided to give up on love. Men were all a sham; making money was what mattered. Unfortunately, her plans were cut short.
Her biological father came looking for her and asked her to save someone. When she asked who needed saving, he said it was Empress Di herself. This was serious, seriously dangerous! For the sake of her father, who had been conscripted, Song Jian had no choice but to go to the palace.
To her surprise, she saw that heartless young man there. What? He was the young crown prince?
Forget it, forget it. She couldn’t beat him, so running away was the sensible choice. But she didn’t get far before she ran into the crown prince’s younger cousin. The cousin had no shame and was a master of trickery and deceit. Before long, he had turned the young lady of the Song family into his own little wife. To find out what happens next, tune in next time!
