This work is incomparable. This is a real reversal, and it has Poirot's style. I can only say that she is truly worthy of being a grandma. This book begins with the mistress of Cliff Villa being almost killed several times, then Poirot enters the scene, and then a case occurs. The murderer is suspected of killing the wrong person, the mistress's sister. Then the hostess was poisoned again and almost died. Poirot made a list of nine suspects and looked for suspects step by step, and finally located an unknown 10th or even 11th person. The final truth is really both silky and reasonable. The inversion is perfect.

Wow, the plot of this book is so thrilling! It felt like I was in that clifftop house, experiencing these strange things with Nick. Agatha Christie's writing is always wonderful and reminded me of another of her books, Murder on the Orient Express. Poirot in it is also so smart and interesting. I especially like the process of his battle of wits and courage with others. And Miss Nick in this book is also very brave, and she can remain calm in the face of so many dangers. I wish I could be like her!

It's his own fault. He caught Poirot's attention from the beginning and directed and acted in a series of things. Miss Nick called Maggie over, changed her clothes style, behaved strangely, was not willing to be poisoned, and had talented acting skills. Her cleverness was mistaken for her cleverness, and her intentions were discovered. Everyone who died was innocent, and it was precisely because of this that the murderer was considered hateful. Wealth really touches people's hearts and makes them become executioners.

The reversal is really nice! But having said that, if they pay attention and think carefully, some readers can still understand who the murderer is when reading Maggie's letter, just like Poirot. Of course, both the description of the plot and the design of the puzzles are quite clever. Obviously from the beginning, the character in the book said that "Nick" is a little liar. However, because of Poirot's suspicion of Mrs. Rice, it is not easy for readers to associate "Nick" as the murderer at the beginning. Therefore, the overall reversal is still much better than Grandma's previous novels (of course, in my personal opinion, it is still not as good as Roger Mystery).

So who fired the bullet that shot into Nick's hat at the beginning of the book and was picked up by Poirot? It can't be Nick himself

I first watched the British David version of the TV series about this book. After watching the TV series, I wanted to see if there would be more details in the novel. So I read the novel only after I knew the ending and the murderer. Although it was spoiled in advance, it did not affect the reading at all. I was still deeply impressed by Agatha's writing and rigorous plot. Worthy of being the queen of mystery, this book is recommended to all friends who like suspense stories!
