Nie Xingchen was a major player in the business world, a well-known figure in City A with money, status, and influence. One day, he sought out Zhang Xiaomo, an obscure corporate spy.
“I have a job for you. Will you take it?”
“No!” Zhang Xiaomo refused with unshakable resolve.
“Hmm?” Without another word, the business mogul hoisted Zhang Xiaomo over his shoulder and carried her home.
After giving her a thorough “lesson,” Nie Xingchen asked, “What about now? Will you still refuse my job?”
Tears in her eyes, Zhang Xiaomo glared at him, furious and aggrieved. “Even after all that, Mr. Nie, I still… refuse!”
