Her soul became bound to a System, and they agreed that if she completed certain assigned tasks, she could choose the life she wanted. Thus began her long career as a task-doer. But why does everything feel like it’s going in the wrong direction?

Shen Mengdie: “System, the plot has gone off the rails. What should I do?”
System: “No worries, that’s the plot department’s problem. Just complete your task!”
Shen Mengdie: “System, why is everything going more and more off track? What should I do?”
System: “Don’t worry about it. Just complete your task!”
Shen Mengdie: “Uh...”
