Jiang Maodong is first trapped in a virtual metaverse modeled closely on the Ming dynasty. As he unlocks the layers of obstacles built into this virtual world, he uncovers the secrets of his own genes. This leaves him responsible for resolving the human crisis, expanding the System that ensures humanity's survival, and exploring and guiding the path of human development.
But Jiang Maodong is no god. Bearing this responsibility requires a vast System and alliance that brings together ideas, technology, manpower, funding, industries, and resources. There is no time to lose. Jiang Maodong and his companions must set out at once.
