This book and "The Age of Hungry" can be regarded as companion volumes. Both expose the evils of the feudal autocratic system. Of course, they will sting some feudal survivors, old and young.
Not bad, there is indeed a lot of knowledge in it that I have never been exposed to before. Upon closer inspection, some of them are not verified, and many of the so-called "atrocities" recorded by Zhu Yuanzhang are unofficial histories, and the author has not mentioned them yet. But overall, there are indeed a lot of things that I didn't know before.
This book is very rich in content. The author told the story of Zhu Yuanzhang very vividly, which gave me a deeper understanding of the history of the Ming Dynasty. The book not only writes about Zhu Yuanzhang's successes, but also analyzes his failures. It feels very comprehensive and objective. Moreover, it is interesting to see the influence of Chinese culture on Zhu Yuanzhang from his story. I think this book is worth reading.
This book came out late, Ming Dynasty Things was published before and it should have been a hit
A good book can be read hundreds of times
It is rare to have the courage to criticize the feudal ethics and the feudal autocratic world.
Not bad. It is divided into two parts, respectively introducing the process of Zhu Yuanzhang establishing the Ming Dynasty; and the political measures after the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The best ruler in the world. It needs to be done by a philosopher. Plato and Confucius had already seen this.
